Amman- In their efforts to build partnerships, Elia Nuqul Foundation and Specialized Leasing Company recently signed a cooperation agreement, under which the company will grant scholarships to the foundation students at Jordanian public universities.
Mr. Ghassan Nuqul, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Elia Nuqul Foundation, and Mr. Amjad Al-Sayeh, General Manager of Specialized Leasing Company, signed the agreement by which the company will cover the tuition fees for a number of financially struggling students, in addition to covering their monthly transportation expenses throughout the study period. In turn, the Elia Nuqul Foundation will involve students in all development programs and systematic and extracurricular exercises run by the foundation to develop their skills, build their capacities and prepare them to enter the labor market.
After signing the agreement, Nuqul stressed the importance of concerted efforts in the public and private sectors and civil society institutions to meet the needs of society, noting the importance of supporting the youth segment by providing them with education, preparing them, and increasing their competitiveness in the market to help create productive and secure societies, economically and socially.
In this regard, Nuqul commended the Specialized Leasing Company for its efforts in supporting young people and expressed how much he values this partnership.
For his part, the General Manager of the Specialized Leasing Company, Mr. Amjad Al-Sayeh, said, "The participation of the Specialized Leasing Company in this program is an affirmation of our role in social responsibility and local community service. The education sector is one of the main pillars of development and community service, and we will fulfill our role in this program by supporting students who are struggling financially to acquire their higher education degrees and achieve their ambitions and realize their dreams, which will be done through the Elia Nuqul Foundation, a pioneer in this field."
According to the Director General of the Elia Nuqul Foundation, Mrs. Randy Abdin, the agreements concluded by the foundation with various parties, whether in the private sector or civil society institutions, mainly aim to involve new segments from the private sector to contribute to empowering the less fortunate youth to achieve their pursuit of higher education and create better opportunities for them. She also pointed out the foundation's keenness to create new success stories and develop Jordanian society by giving the future generation the education and skills that qualify them to be productive and active community members.
